The Wolseley Vocal Arts Project- After School Program

Launching in the 2019 New Year, the Wolseley Vocal Arts Project is aimed at providing top- notch musical instruction to youth and children ages 8-16 years of age. This is a unique program that seeks to provide opportunities to youth throughout Winnipeg in a musical-theatre meets choral program, making high quality music instruction accessible to all.

The Program will be held on Tuesday afternoons (beginning January 15th), from 3:30-5:45 pm weekly at St. Margaret's Anglican Church. The following is a sample schedule of what these afternoons will look like:

3:30-3:45- Nutritious Snack

3:45-4:45- Ensemble rehearsal

4:45-5- Break

5-5:25- Acting workshop and scene preparation

5:25-5:45 pm-Musicianship training

This is a program designed for the keen music student who wants to further their skills and develop their expression as a singer- within ensembles and as an individual artist. This program models itself upon the philosophy of wholistic musicianship within community, meaning that singers grow exponentially more as artists and musicians when given opportunity to express themselves within community. Nurturing the individual through ensemble performance and grounded in pedagogical principles is our pathway to inspiration and meaningful music making experiences!

Masterclasses and performance opportunities will be available within the 2019 season.

Tuition is $55/ month per child. This program is a seasonal commitment from January to June 2019.

Children of the same household receive a 20% discount after the first child enrolled.

Tuition subsidies and full scholarships are available! Please do not hesitate to inquire regarding this.

We hope you will join us on this exciting journey!!
